A little delay and some other Patreon thoughts.

I just want to apologize to all of you. I had totally intended on doing BT and Kaerwyns this week. I actually have the next BT drawn and partially inked. But it turns out that just before Xmas eve, I apparently picked up whatever plague my roommate brought home from his workplace. I haven't been so bad that I've been bed ridden, but I haven't been able to work on anything meaningful. As I hinted about before, some changes are going to happen starting next week. Namely for the first time since my husband died 3.5 years ago, I'm actually seeing someone. He's going to be moving in with me next week. And I'm hoping with his support, that I have even more time to work on the comics. Yay. He's also the writer of Niixa in the Kaerwyn comics. He's my main collaborator with the comics. This means he'll be here, working with me on the comics directly. And I'm hoping that too will have a profound effect on the comics. (He probably doesn't want me mention all this, but I figure if you guys are paying my rent, then it's worth letting you know!) He's also a patron so he gets to see this. HI RT! Anyway, we'll be out of town for the first week of January (probably starting on the 3rd if the weather isn't crappy). I'm hoping to have enough Kaerwyn's done by then that it will update without me being here. I might just go ahead and post them as I finish them to you guys, but that means you'll have a week of no updates. Also, some more thoughts about the way Patreon works. I've been thinking about changing the way the rewards work, and I'm hoping that it will be more beneficial to you as well as make it easier for me to keep up with. Patreon doesn't do a very good job of keeping records as to what donation tier someone is at, but it does keep up with how much you've paid overall. So I'm thinking about changing the rewards to be based on how much you've donated total, instead of how much you donate per month. So, for example, let's say there's a goal reward after $100. The people that donate $50/month will hit that reward in two months. Someone that donates $10/month will hit that reward in 10 months. The great thing is that everyone has the opportunity to reach that goal, regardless of their tier. In order to help benefit the upper tier subscribers a bit, I'm thinking of some stuff that only they can get. I'm looking into the possibility of stickers and t-shirts (not for sale, but to give only to people of a certain tier). Well whatever, I'll stop rambling now!
