I'm also getting the sneaking suspicion from this page that the issue 11 cover isn't meant to portray Endy's point-of-view in the mirror: it's Niixa's, and what Endy is actually reacting to is how Niixa keeps slipping into a hallucinagenic dreamstate (she's doing it on the cover, too) and is concerned for her well-being.

I should think the number of times this has been happening now, that would be the first thing to tip him off if he's not otherwise paying attention. Well, that and Niixa's expression.
