He gave the shaman a chance to surrender, meaning he could detonate said power at any time. Though the theories about it being Niixa were pretty interesting. It looks like Niixa is still under Kaletaka's control/corruption. Now the biggest question is how does Endy free her without killing her? Because I would be shocked if he didn't notice her sneaking up behind him, sharing his body with a powerful spirit and all.

2019-05-19 14:52:02 +0000 UTCI don't think you were actually wrong, Kaletaka just has that much more magic resistance to overcome, and that the illusion is still ongoing. Put it this way: you want your enemy's mental hold over your friend to be broken. What do you trick him into doing? What is the 'mistake' that Endy was so confident about, after getting up very quickly, apparently uninjured after all?

I wondered about this at the time, and expect it'll play a major part sooner or later in the arc's resolution... She drank Endy's blood.
