Niixa's trying to use the raw power of capital-D Destruction to surgically separate a living thing from a metallic parasite that she's never encountered before without immolating the victim. Also, while we make puns about its bismuth-like appearance, there's zero reason to assume it ought to behave like bismuth chemically.

2021-05-30 11:51:09 +0000 UTCThough to be honest i never understood why you did not go with the standard bismuth "oxidization", that is: green/blue flames and yellow smoke seems rather cool. Bismuth catches fire not very easily but it's about as easy as green wood, and given what the people here can do i would say it can be done.
