The 'Tween Time
Added 2021-06-23 00:14:08 +0000 UTCWell it's that time again, that time between issues. I don't post much during this time, but I'm still very busy working on the comic. I haven't taken any time off. I've actually got the cover and first six additional pages finished for Issue 18 - working on my buffer. But most importantly, I have to create new 3d builds.

This is Endy's bedroom. It was actually shown a couple of times in Issue 16, but I didn't really have anything to show then and just kinda hid it behind lighting fuckery and just trying to freehand it. But now I have his bedroom.

Here's the shot from the bathroom.
I'd like to say that I'm good at making 3d stuff, but honestly, it takes me forever to do a simple thing. That bed took me several days. The other stuff took me at least a day (The doors, the bookcase, etc). Some of the stuff I was able to recycle, like the books are from Neek's library build. The recliner and nightstands are from a build I did for the Guard Headquarters.
But this issue in particular will require a lot of new backgrounds. Such as this one:

Now the building itself is recycled (Actually created by my good friend Oncalupe), we've been using that one in the Kaerwyn town for some time. But the porch had to be done from scratch. I'm actually taking a break from that build to make this post.
You might be wondering why I go to all this trouble to make 3d builds. Well, one of the reasons I can so consistently put out content are the things I do to make my life easier. Making a 3d build beforehand saves me so much time, I can take a screenshot from any position I need to. I then have a prop to draw the characters around. I know that sometimes it looks weird, but it saves me a lot of time and trouble and allows me to keep up with the 3-post per week schedule. And this time between comics is the only time I have a chance to set them up. My goal lately has been to try to texture the builds so they look more like my style of artwork. That way it's a little less jarring.
This particular issue will be build heavy but I'm hoping that I won't take more than a few weeks off trying to get everything done. Plus working on the actual comic pages in between working on the builds helps me push forward.

uh... dude... you don't just put out 3 comics per week. You do commissions and you do art streams, and you have a life (i hope) all of this while writing and outputting 3 comics per week. 😅 If you ask me that's quite a lot sooo yeah. Glad you have found a way to do so in a quick way. ༼ つ ^u^ ༽つ💖
