When it rains, it pours.

So I thought I'd take the time to let you guys know what's going on with me right now. In the past month, my dachshund, Doobie, was sick. I've had to take time off to take him to the vet multiple times. They diagnosed him with an enlarged prostate (They don't believe this is cancer but can't rule it out), and sludge in his gallbladder. He's on pills now that cause him to drink more and pee a lot. He's been waking me up early and I've had a lack of sleep because of it.  This has caused a delay for making the comics. This by itself isn't an issue.

On top of that, last week we were without internet for three days. This also caused a delay, and by itself isn't an issue.

Sunday morning, however, my mom called and let me know that my dad had a stroke. He didn't die. He's at the hospital and things are stable. But he had a stroke, and he was my mom's primary caregiver, and she's been on her own since then.  Because of all this, I am now a solid week behind where I should be, and I don't see myself getting back on track.  Thursday I have an appointment to get new tires on my truck (they're at least 11 years old, yes I know. I know. I don't drive much so I've just been delaying it). But my parents live 90 miles/145km from me and I suspect I will be making multiple trips in the coming weeks. So I'm getting the tires taken care of.  And then Friday I'm driving down to visit.  While I'm there I'm taking my parents' dog back with me to take care of her.

I have up through page 15 completed for Issue 19. That's two more weeks of comic for you. After that, there might be some delays. Do know that when I'm stressed, I tend to work on the comic as a form of stress relief, so I will continue to work on it. However, there will be interruptions in my work that I'm afraid I can't do much about.  Also my tablet PC, that I used for drawing away from my office, died on me, so I can't take that with me to work on the comic. I can't afford a replacement either.

Hopefully I can limp the comic along so that you guys have no idea there's even a problem. But I am just posting to inform you, in case there is any kind of delay in uploading, the reason behind it.

It's just been a really awful past few weeks for me.  If I can just get through the next couple of months, everything should settle down in one way or another.
