No Pages Next Week

Hey folks. As the title suggests, I won't be posting Kaerwyn comic pages next week. This goes for Patreon and public, so you remain two weeks ahead.

Let me explain. Starting in January I did a little experiment where I only worked for 8hrs a day on the comic.  Before this, I often worked 10-12hrs a day on the comic and commissions. Others that knew me in RL would often try to tell me to stop working that long. But that's how long it takes.  It gave me very little time for other things that I wanted to do, such as run Kaerwyn's RP site, and anything else I might be doing. I had to stop playing our weekly board game night because I was getting so stressed from not finishing my work in time.

So in January I forced myself to stop working at or around 6pm. I would keep working if I knew I would be finished within 30 minutes or so. But for the most part, I was working 10am-6pm.  I worked through lunch as well. 

This left me with more time to do other things and my stress did decrease.

HOWEVER.

This did not magically change how long it takes to make the comics. I went from a one month buffer to a one week buffer. I was also not taking commissions at all for January so I did work on the comic on Thursday and Friday to make up the difference and try to keep up. I can't afford to continue doing this, so commissions will resume in March as well. If I continue on this course, I will run out of comics to post to you on time.  I have to maintain that buffer. As most comic pages take about 10hrs to make, some take significantly longer. And the Kaerwyn comic involves other people's characters that I have to get feedback on.

So on the first week of March is when I would run out of comics. My solution to this is to, every now and then, take a week that I don't update.  I will still be working on the comic during this week.  Please don't think this is time off, it isn't.

I will use this time to rebuild the buffer.

Also this is a reminder that Kaerwyn is primarily a role playing site.  If you enjoy the comic and want to participate in some of the comic-like plots, feel free to join. It is not a tabletop RP. It is a creative writing RP. All you have to do is write for your character.  It takes place in a chat room. And it's free!

You do not have to be a writer to participate. If you can chat in a chat room, you can RP on Kaerwyn. We encourage everyone that wants to try and do our best to help them out. So feel free to take this time to join Kaerwyn's RP and see for yourself.
