Patreon Payment Troubles
Added 2023-08-03 14:05:24 +0000 UTCLet me start off by saying that I have no control over Patreon's payment system. You subscribe to my account through Patreon, but Patreon does all that themselves. So please keep that in mind.
Stating that, it appears that Patreon had some severe issues with Payments for August. There's a large number of people complaining about it on Reddit, twitter, etc. Here's an example: https://nitter.net/PatreonSupport/status/1686513501655924741#m
You might want to check your payments to make sure they've gone through, not just to me but to anyone you support. If you suddenly find yourself unable to see any content on Patreon, this might be the cause.
I'm not sure what recourse you have here, Patreon seems to think you should sit and wait. Just keep an eye on things.
If anyone has a double payment to me, please let me know so I can look into it. The most I can do is refund the payment but that might block your access.

PayPal has lobbied for regulations to block other companies from forming systems like their own, now that they're a credit card processor. Including dinking with Patreon.

2023-08-03 17:20:21 +0000 UTCIf this helps, my husband's payment was flagged as fraudulent by Visa on the first. He had to call the bank, and they had to put him through to Visa to clear the payments. Meanwhile, my payments went through, likely because I set payment through PayPal years ago. The last time they had issues processing payments, in fact.

2023-08-03 14:52:53 +0000 UTCThis isn’t the first time this has happened. Most of my Patreon payments are now done with Paypal, which, somewhat ironically, always goes through reliably. (The only drawback is, a few creators don’t accept Paypal.)
