READ FIRST! Instructions to download.

This includes important information about where to find the files and how to split them....

Please note. This Patreon direct message inbox is not monitored. This patreon provides value in the form of Practical Prints.

All information on downloading prints is provided below:

But first:

Thankyou for your support... Yours and others Patreons' support keeps the channel going and allows me to create niche content and creations like these that the YouTube algorithm (and advertisers) do not appreciate as much as you and I.

The money I earn here is allocated to reinvest my time and effort into creating, prototyping, and testing designs that I can release to you as practical 3d printable objects.

This is essentially phase 1 of development, with enough interest the individual prints will be injection moulded and made available to the wider public.

The files however will always remain available for us tinkerers to play with.

if you have made a remix and want to share it with the community on here message me on here and we can upload it to the community folder.

IMPORTANT:

All STL files are to be found in the current link [Most Recent Post] (except “All the gear” files which are in the most current “all the gear” link for subscribers of those tiers.)

If you find a post link is empty, it is old and obsolete. Do not comment “link is dead” or “where are the files” as they exist in the latest file folder.

All old posts are obsolete as the link changes at the beginning of every month and there is nothing in those folders.

Also, if you don’t know how to separate the files into individual parts for printing, download the mesh tools extension from the cura market place (free).

You can also use prusa slicer which has the tool built in.

This allows you to separate the model into parts.

I hope you enjoy the files!

Cheers.

Hooch.

I have been wanting to build a vertical hydro tower, but rather than use a pump and rain nutrient down on the roots, I want to fill it with coco and wick up the tower. This is because I do not have power out where I want to place it. I have done a test run with no plants using coco and wicking cord running up the core, about 1.25 meters. It seems to stay moist for the couple of days I let it run. Have any of you tried anything similar with vertical wicking 1+ meters up?

Aeynos

That makes sense… thanks! I appreciate the quick reply!

Erik Heller

The original and updated Hooch Bucket files are available. But the hooch multi bucket is an injection moulded product that is physically available through Hydroland. The design is not made to be 3D printable.

Mitchell Tomkins

I can't seem to find the Hooch Multi Bucket file. Which folder should I look in?

Erik Heller

Dude, where are the chicken feeder v2 stls? Can't find them in any of the folders. Have I signed up for the wrong thing?

Matt Brown

Hi all, just joined and trying to access the STL files, but nothing seems to be showing up in the Google Drive link. Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

Louis Thorp

I am just a conduit for the hobbies hahahah. Cheers mate, 3D printing is a whole other level. Highly recommend learning some cad skills to level up and create stuff you need around the house. Some of the most rewarding moments I’ve had.

Mitchell Tomkins

I commented on YouTube that I had Hoochoitis, and as of today, I can say it here to. You got me into hydroponics, then KGLW, and most recently 3D printing. I cannot say it enough, you are an inspiration to learn and experiment with new things. I cannot thank you enough.

Aeynos

Yeah you want to be on Hoochos unless you’re after the all the gear prints. Just switch to the Hoocho tier. If it won’t let you let me know and I’ll sort something out

Official All The Gear, No Idea... $54 per year

Lachlan Jardine

Which membership are you on? All the gear, or Hoochos?

Mitchell Tomkins

Hoocho, I am probably a bit slow but I am in the $54 a year membership but whenever I click on anything it says it is locked and I need to subscribe. Am I doing something wrong or do I not understand the membership levels?

Lachlan Jardine

Hey Hooch. What is the process of partnering with you and becoming and international distributor?

Ruan Nothnagel

Went to the Ultimaker website. Go for the new "Ultimaker Cura 4.3: Available now" NOPE FORBIDDEN FOR ME is on the screen.

Denis db

SAME here

Denis db

Sorry butt I do not understand 1 item of this. I was on the website. See 1 milj of things but can't find the wright tree in these woulds. Also what I do not understand is why a developer makes it that way so the user needs to split up all the items before to start with the real work.

Denis db

I am referring to items before he even had the Bambu Lab printer. One of the files I know have different end caps so I want to print just 1 of them.

Steven McCracken

Click the Hoocho title over on the left. The newest post will be right under this conversation.

Shea Holmes

Mitchell told us in the video is was made for a Bambu Lab 3D printer. So the dimentions there are 256 x 256 x256 ( all in MM ) possible print for that machine.

Denis db

Also, if you don’t know how to separate the files into individual parts for printing, download the mesh tools extension from the cura market place (free).

Shea Holmes

In my case I can't ungroup/ separate the parts.

Steven McCracken

I downloaded the STL file for American downspout end caps. I can't slice or do anything as the build is bigger than the build plate. I can't even breakdown to the individual components that I want to print. It is grouping all the components as 1 unit. How do I get around that?

Steven McCracken

go to the drive link in the latest post then stl files the rggs files

Jake Smitte

hey does anyone know if we can get the campbells hooch uses in the states?

Jake Smitte

I'm after the Wick Wedge file please. I can't find it in the files I just downloaded.

Isel Coombes

Well if you’re clicking on 10 posts you’re doing it wrong. It’s only in the latest post. Have a read of the instructions.

Mitchell Tomkins

I clicked on the may 10 post, and there's nothing inside, or it just says I don't have access. Is that the latest post/link? It's my first time looking for them, and looks like I'm having some trouble. Thanks. OK, looks like it isn't the latest post with the link. I see my error now!

Simon

Hey mate, make sure you’re clicking on the latest file folder. All others don’t work.

Mitchell Tomkins

So, who/how can I contact to help with issues getting access to the drive? It says I don't have access, clicking the link on the most recent post. I had a hunch that when I signed up for here, I didn't use a gmail account, so when I click the link, my gmail and yahoo aren't the same. So, who do I ask for help with this?

Simon

You add support in slicer software working with your printer. When you place a model in your slicer look for some tickbox "Support" . Once you check it you can configure the support structure (this may differ between slicer softwares and capabilities of your printer) but you can try with your default settings and see. Once printed you will break of the support structure, be careful not to break the model. Hope it helps :)

Tomáš Jasaň

I know and it's almost impossible for someone who is just learning the basics to know how to print it when it's bigger then the plate. My bed is 11. Something and it's still not enough room.

nicky Thibodeaux

I'm pretty new to 3d printing and I seen some of you're files need support so my question is could you add support as a option for the ones (me) who's just learning the basics?

nicky Thibodeaux

I'm guessing you probably already figured it out by now, but just in case, you can get "V6" style nozzles to use for that printer. They are really common and affordable.

Braelyn Berry

They should be parametric modeled so they could be customized to the scale or size needed.

Anthony Bonacci

Does anyone own an anycubic chiron and do you change any settings on your slicer to print hoochos items? I have a .4 mm nozzle and can't find, .8mm for my machine. The g code print time is way too long for small items. Any info is much appreciated.

Rita cachia

I saw in one of his videos he mentioned Fusion360

Smarch

Hi Hoocho, What do you use for 3D print design software? I want make larger bato buckets, but Cura only scales everything. Looking to make a 200x200x300 bucket, about 3 gallons.

Dane Degon

I printed the Thingiverse "more advanced remix" of the vertical tower and went back today to get some more STL files and they disappeared!!! Aaargh! Did anybody download the full set of STL's from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3405964 ?

Marcus Jenkins

I've had several Ender 3 printers and they're still good value but, today, perhaps not the best choice for a 3D printing noob. I recently bought an Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo which works fantastically out of the box for PLA, at least. The main relevant benefits are: completely hands-off bed levelling and nozzle height setting, *fast* printing, PEI spring steel build surface as standard. There are other 'features' that I don't care about so much like a fancy colour screen, direct drive extruder and so on. Summary - Ender 3 isn't necessarily the go-to recommendation for noobs since there are other, easier options at almost the same price these days.

Marcus Jenkins

PETG should stick well to a *clean* heated glass build plate. The bed levelling, as with any filament, is critical. As well as the first layer height being juuust right. Use alcohol to clean the build surface. Glue stick shouldn't be necessary - with PETG the problem is often that it sticks *too well* to the build surface - I've wrecked a lot of the old skool floppy magnetic build surfaces with PETG. PEI coated spring steel magnetic build surfaces for the #win.

Marcus Jenkins

I'm gearing up, mentally, for starting up with hydroponics here in Southern Spain for herbs, chilies, leafy greens, tomatoes, ginger & strawberries. Nutrients are harder to source here at a reasonable price since almost all hydroponics activity here is around a certain high value herbal crop rather than food - so buyers aren't so price sensitive. I can definitely buy 25kg sacks of NPK and calcium salts from my local agricultural supply, cheap, but I'd be missing the micro nutrients. More expensive at €70 is 25kg of Hakaphos Naranja NPK that does have micro nutrients. Can I buy the wicking cord online from an international seller? Rectangular section plastic pipe is expensive here (€40+ / 3m) compared to, say, 110mm diameter round PVC drain pipe. Your 3D prints for round pipe reservoir gravity fed systems use a lot of filament to go around the pipe. My idea is to redesign those using 4 short lengths of cheap, ~25mm PVC pipe as legs.

Marcus Jenkins

I noticed a lot of parts are grouped into one stl file, it might be better to break them out individually and come up with a better naming convention or a readme file that makes things easier to find.

Caboose

I quit using glass and use the magnetic plates and Elmer's purple glue sticks. Ender 3 v2 and v2 Neo PETG 245 and 70, 50-65 print speed first layer then kick it up to 100. PLA is 200 and 40, same thing. If I print relatively flat STLs then I just let it get started at 65 print speed then kick it up to 100- doing that seems to reduce the stringing on both PETG and PLA.

Glen Kunter

Glue stick for PETG, PLA, and PLA+ I like Avery branded sticks. I print ASA and NinjaFlex TPU with glue sticks as well without issue.

Jeremy Short

Okay, got some PETG. How do you get it to stick on a glass plate. Have tried tape, glue, au naturale. What temps work for you with your models? Greatly appreciate any advice you can offer.

Wayne Kercheval

Fusion 360, neither PETG

Mitchell Tomkins

Hi Hoocho, glad to see you back on top of your life. 2 Questions if I may, Which modelling software do you create your parts on. And are you using PLA or PLA+

Wayne Kercheval

Thank you for your work. I'm printing and going to give my hand a try at your hooch bucket rain gutter system. I've used DWC before, but I want something a bit easier.

Goofy Doge

I was pretty excited to pick up the Ender-3 S1 Pro, but arrived with some cables broken out of the box. So I am taking a minute to learn about JST-XH connectors with some 22 AWG first. Then I will be kicking off some of my first hydro prints :)

Bobby Schlueter

legend! cheers

Ben Sherman

Use the face selection tool in cura

Mitchell Tomkins

Just got on a computer, sorry, you need to place the sloped face on the build plate.

Mitchell Tomkins

I’ve fixed the issue, new file

Mitchell Tomkins

Hey, first off, Love your work, I cant seem to find the 100MMX50MM AU/NZ blanking ends you mentioned in your last video? I want to have a crack at making a small NFT system and those seem like the most plastic-efficient solution.

Ben Sherman

Awesome.

Matthew Holliday

Yeah mate, use supports only on buildplate

Mitchell Tomkins

Are the 50X100 Square Pipe NFT ends already in the best orientation for printing?

Matthew Holliday

Where do I find the files for 3D printable end caps for the RGGS Rain Gutter Grow System?

Gil Reitsma

Where are you located?

William

does anyone sell the verticaljiffypugs 3d printed? it's for the vertical square ttower

Luis Inojosa

Great Work Hoocho, I would like to make a suggestion, in each of the project folders, would it be possible to include a README file which would include things like recommend parts, pipe diameters, hole drill sizes, recommended print settings, and other useful information. I know you have videos for all of your projects, but it would be very helpful to have this information at our fingertips especially when out shopping for what I need.

William Solberg

Hello What would be the name of the file for the plugs that goes into the vertical hydroponic tower. the jiffyplug?

Luis Inojosa

Didn't understand the question before, but I am trying to do the same. I have modified one of the files to hopefully fit the internal of a 90mm stormwater pipe but keeping the 13mm barb the same size to see if this idea works. I'll print it tonight, post results tomm

Mark Sutherland

How/where do we find the link? lol

Alex Daniels

Allan, This comment inspired the latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND1RzThreiE So Thank You.

Mitchell Tomkins

Allan, also many people does not realize that you need to keep your filament out of moisture even when printing, That will highly affect the print quality. Here is one DIY if you are interested: https://all3dp.com/weekend-project-a-diy-heated-drybox-for-3d-printing-filament-storage/

Laszlo Csabi

If you're referring to the hooch buckets there's no infill with 2 layers on the walls. I'm in south east Queensland Australia

Mitchell Tomkins

Hi Hooch, thanks for sharing the STL files. I was printing the 100MM4INCHRoundRGGSEndKit, tried to resize it for my 90mm round pipe setup, i noticed that if you resize the whole design, you will end up resizing the hole as well, Any chance that you could upload the 90mm round pipe version of the RGGS End Kit? It would be great if you can also put the cover for the float valve in this design. Thanks.

Erjan H

Many thanks mate. Just a couple of small questions that will help me out. 0.8 nozzle, PETG, How many wall layers? 2? That would give a 1.6mm wall thickness. Most importantly any infill at all or 0%. If I use any infill in the slice it can use up to 1 kilo of filament per bucket. Yours dont look to be heavy at all so I am assuming they are hollow. I used to live in Emerald and Rocky in a previous life. Wheres home mate?

Allan J Main

I have an ender 3 pro so my print settings won’t work for you on the V2 There are print settings screenshots in some of the comments below on this page. But there are too many variables to give general advice. Same with hydroponics. There are plenty of dedicated 3D printing YouTube channels. I’d start with Chep.

Mitchell Tomkins

Hooch, Just joined up to get you a few coins for a XXXX every once in a while. I'm using an Ender 3 V2 Pro and that looks like what you have. Can you save the cura profiles that work on your buckets and keep them in the stl folder. It's a proper "B" getting that first set up right. Things like wall thickness, flow and temps are critical and yes, different filaments makes a big difference as well. Even some rough numbers to start with. 0.8 nozzle, PETG, 240C, 115% flow, no adhesion or brim? Im an old fart mate. Knocking on 70 and some of this shit is tough on us old buggers. Your videos are ball tearers mate and all that knowledge is going into my grow house here in Chile.

Allan J Main

And also: What settings in Cura are you using ( I have the same printer as you) Appreciate if you have som input :)

Frode G

Thank for the stl files! Been waiting for some specific 3d printer videos, setup troubleshooting etc. You mention that you maybe would make some, and maybe you did:)

Frode G

Meant to write did NOT get that one yet (the float valve)

Ernst

Did get that one yet as that's the next cap I was going to print. The RoundPipeHoochAdapter didn't require any scaling and fits like a glove around the 4" PVC pipe.

Ernst

What float valve size works on the rain gutter systems? Is it the same valve size for all of them? I'm guessing its one of the plastic ones you see on Amazon, but they have a few different sizes

Morgan

Thanks Ernst

Morgan

After my scaling it measures 0.56" (The non threaded version).

Ernst

What is the outside diameter of the hose bib for the drain side of the rain gutter systems? I was going to order some hose to go on the end, I haven't had a chance to print one yet to check.

Morgan

Thanks for sharing the stl files. Printed one of the 4" end caps (100MM4INCHRoundRGGSEndKit) and had to scale it up slightly (104.5%) to fit a US 4" Pipe. Outside diameter is around 4.5"

Ernst

Thanks Hoocho!

dan
