This is an exciting release.

Printing like grazy 😉

These are nicely designed thank you. Can't wait to try them out - been printing them for the last few days. Could not get the floats from the HydroLand store in AU as they were out of stock with nothing coming in for months. Ended up finding them on AliExpress so we'll see what they're like when the come. BTW The pickup lockers at HydroLand/KegLand in Vic are awesome!!

For US based users, I’m recommending this brand of 2gal nursery pots: https://a.co/d/74vxCse It fits pretty well, and the short height should improve wicking performance. Hope to save some of your time searching!

John Chen

Happy to report that I got the scaled down print to fit everything! The float is a bit concerning in terms of how close a fit it is. I recommend picking a pump that does not require a lot of vertical clearance

John Chen

I've had root problems with other float based designs. I'm wondering if i could modify the STL to block one of the flow paths and notch the other for a removable mesh screen on a 3d printed holder.

David Holiday

Just came here to ask about this.. ive got the slicer happy having it on a giant angle a steep angle. I will give it a print when i get a bit more fillament

Hi John, I tried at 95% on the Z axis but printing with PETG has been a nightmare. So I just increased to 98% like you suggested and will try with PLA. Hopefully the cura settings will be kind to me.

Dan Provost

Hey Dan! Just got a slightly scaled down piece (98%) printed and I’m happy to report that it fit a 1/2inch float valve

John Chen

He says in the video that we should every once in a while check and potentially remove any roots that are too close to the float :)

Mathis Schmieder

Question about that last pic. Won’t the roots interfere with the float?

Ochugh

I’ve been watching you for so long. I’m so happy to be a Patron!

David

Hey Dan! I’m in a similar boat and will be printing a scaled down version of this. I am hopeful it could work. I have the same issue with the auto bucket dimensions but I think this design could be more tolerant of scaling.

John Chen

Looks fun! I just got my USA Hooch Buckets from Amazon! Also did some freelance work in exchange for a 3d Printer. . . So I will be able to try printing soon!

Matt Collum

Excited to try this. Thank you for your content and passion, and for sharing your creations.

Drew Wilkens

Awesome. I can see this very useful for ornamentals. If I have a level spot the RGGS rail set up would be cheaper on a per plant basis.

i have an Ender 3 V3 and the print size is 220x220x250. I assume I cant print this because the Ender is too small. Any way around this? I'm new to all this so its easy for me to get lost. Advice please.....

Dan Provost

That looks so great keep going man !

Frederik-Andre Savard

damn better order some more petg

Riwakalust Lagerslut
