Today, WreckMP beta branch received an update featuring voice chat beta version! As of now, the voice chat is missing the the voice effects, such as walkie talkie sound when using the walkie talkie, and the voice muffling, but the core options like voice mode, keybinding, microphone gain and color and input sensitivity are all working, so you can hear your friends in 3D space!
Another tiny feature of this update is lobby code trim. Often, lobby codes would end in "10066" or "30066" or similar, and so I made the lobby codes trim when possible, making them shorter and simpler. This feature is experimental, and will come into public branch in later update!
Launcher got updated
This week, WreckMP beta version is not the only thing that received an update, the launcher has also been updated! The most important reason was bug reports of "My game tolds me to update launcher even through I did" piling up. This bug would be caused if you installed the new launcher update, but didn't replace/remove the old 1.1.5 launcher. This way, the game still thought you're rocking the old launcher and would show the popup.
This is fixed now, and with this opportunity to release an update I have also implemented an improvement for patrons: new login system. Now, no annoying copying code over from website to the launcher is going on! You just press login, and if you're already logged on in the browser, boom! You're instantly logged in inside the launcher too! This feature can really make the login process nicer, cleaner and faster.
