My Winter Car released and ever since day one we're getting inquiries: "Will WreckMP come for MWC as well?" Yes! WreckMP for MWC is now fully in the works, and the first version COULD maybe release next week FOR FREE already!
Currently, we are testing the first early builds of WreckMP and implementing basic sync, but as long as the most basic features are done, we will release the very first version, because remember, even if barely anything is synced, you can still have fun with your friend. Let me tell you a secret trick: as long as all players in the session do an unsynced action, you can still progress together as if it was synced!
Enhanced subtitles mod released
[WARNING MWC SPOILERS AHEAD]
Everyone who started playing MWC must've felt the dissapointment when you bought the Corris, the seller was speaking for over 2 minutes and all the subtitles said was "Well, here is the car". Same with the parts call.
Well, I did so too, and I thought, why not to make a quick mod that fixes just that! Let's be real: everyone wants to play MWC now, and waiting for someone to manually translate everything could take up to several months. That's why I decided to use AI. But don't worry, not some basic setup.
I transcribed each voiceline 4 times with separately configured models, as if 4 different finnish transcriptors made their own version, and then finally fed all 4 transcripts to a final model, taking all 4 into consideration, to sketch up clean meaning of the voiceline, and then finally translate it to English.
Even with this setup there could be some inaccuracies, but most of the time it works just fine, and you get to know way more lore than with vanilla subtitles.
