NEVER UNDERESTIMATE FEMALE PREDATORS - PODCAST #6

Online or not, they're everywhere — including in your own backyard. Here I discuss two cases of female predators in my city — one a tutor and the other an online predator.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE FEMALE PREDATORS - PODCAST #6

Comments

I appreciate your vulnerability in the beginning of this video ♥

Kristen DILLIGAF

There is just something extra sinister about female abusers. It almost seems as though many of them actually do feel an attachment beyond just physical attraction, unlike many male predators with their victims. It adds a whole new layer of creepy. And my heart breaks for the boys that are victimized, whose trauma is constantly invalidated because of their gender, and met with weird nostalgic jealousy by older men. Especially now that I am a mother of a young boy, I want to thank you for taking the time to shine a light on this subject. You put it all into words so eloquently. Also, I watched some videos about Abigail Simon, and I was raging. But also cringing with second-hand embarrassment about her and her family's behavior. You weren't kidding. THE AUDACITY. Ugh.

Sunn Kendzoria

How sickening!

Sunn Kendzoria

I hope she didn't win that case. That is so disgusting!!

Sunn Kendzoria

Wow!! That is so messed up!! How sad. It makes me so angry not only that sexual predators and abusers hardly ever get the sentences they deserve, but that female abusers are close to ignored! It's so not right!

My brother always made A'a And B's in school his whole life. When he was a senior his English teacher wanted to have sex with him. He tried to be nice about it but turned her down. Not only because she was his teacher and much older than him, he had a girlfriend that he was serious with. When he told her no for the final time she gave him and F and failed him in his English class to the point where he was unable to graduate with his class. Our parents went to the school to try and have something done. But he wouldn't do anything. It later came out that this teacher was also having sex with the principal. My brother went to get his GED and the examiner told my parents that out of all his years giving the test my brother was the only student to never miss 1 question. He later went to collage on a football scholarship. The teacher or the school was never punished

You like someone who's aggressive in their work because that's the way you are, too. I'm a new Patreon subscriber, so I'm catching up on all you videos and podcasts since October 2020. Thanks for sending my sticker and your autograph so quickly and thanks for all your hard work. Stay safe, healthy and happy...

Lorraine Pozniak

I genuinely enjoy your personality and content. This was an excellent video. Sometimes it makes me sad to think about all these sick creatures in the world causing harm and evil but it makes me happy to know people are doing things about it now and not staying silent about what’s been going on. God bless you

This is a really important episode. Thanks for doing this one Zach. I hope things start to change with how society views female predators. I feel weird putting this but I have seen some others in the comments do it so I guess I will add a trigger warning here for talking about child abuse. When I was an infant my mother sexually abused me for many years. It left me with lifelong mental health struggles but I made it out the other side. Part of this larger stigma / denial of female abusers not existing was a barrier to my own path to healing. I hope this helps some other people. Thanks again Zach! Keep up the good work you do

Michael

I’m curious to know exactly what the missile you had in your locker was. A firework? Lol

Michael Hamilton

Female predators are rare for random predatory behavior, they tend to have some form of a relationship with the individual beforehand and sort of groom them prior to engaging in predatory behavior.

CJ

“Trust but verify” that’s something Ronald Reagan said too, it’s a good quote

theking41

Had to rewind when you said the one predator carved the victims name in her wrists....that’s the most wild thing I’ve heard

Lea Hannigan

I think now, it's as though parents don't have an excuse NOT to make sure this isn't happening. As a millennial, I grew up with the internet. Actually, since I was born in 85, we were *always* in chat rooms (yahoo chat lol). I remember how nasty people were back then. We were witness to the first wave of internet grooming. We KNOW it's everywhere.

doomrider

You the man Zach! Great podcast! You're not alone with the celebrity crush discussion at the teenage years. At age 13 after I watched Pearl Harbor, I was head over heels for Kate Beckinsale. Again great podcast and keep protecting the innocent!

Steve Ulinski

No way! I have decoys. Thanks! :)

Zach Sweers

ay zack can you talk about what pictures you use on predetors, like do u just go online and find any underage girl and just use her photo or what is it exactly, keep up the good work i love this patreon thing so much.

Santino

Check out "Abigail Simon" on YouTube. She really put on a show in court for sure!

Zach Sweers

ay zack do u have a link for the the court session? i wanna see the video

Santino

I got suspended for punching someone once. My only offense. Seems so silly, one punch gets you suspended

Grant McCluskey

Don't do that either cause to shelter causes even more danger due to being niave... let them have full access but be a parent not a friend to your kids.. teach them

Angel Angelov

This is a great podcast episode. And also super ironic because I just started a series of hulu called a teacher (that follows the story of a female teacher and her male student)

Agnes Z

The beginning of this, talking about boys and puberty and all that. Not a man nor do I feel any sexual attraction so I am wildly confused- more of a mix of emotions maybe, perhaps bewildered is a good descriptor.

Saint KC

When he says I'm going somewhere with this guys. I laughed. This dude is a funny but also a good as person we need in society

Angel Angelov

As a mom of 3 boys who are all about 2 years apart, the oldest being 14, I really appreciate how you discuss all different types of predators. I don't know how little boys think and naturally as their mom I want to protect them in any way I can. There's a fine balance between letting them have a bit more freedom and keeping them safe. After listening to this recent podcast I decided to have (another) talk with them. Warning them that even though you might think it's great that this adult woman is making passes at you no good and decent adult should have romantic or sexual conversations with a child. Unless it's your doctor or your health teacher. And even then, sure it's embarrassing but legally the doctor isnt allowed to be in the exam room alone with a patient until they're 18. And yeah it can be embarrassing for the kid (and yes I turn around/don't look) but a little bit of embarrassment for their safety is always worth it.

Christie

Haha, my pleasure Zack!

Zach Sweers

You’re my favourite super hero <3

Thanks for attaching the mp3 Zach, this patreon audio player was getting on my last nerve. 😡 Keep up the great work!

When I was in HS, there was a female teacher that was always giving her phone number out to only the male students. She was constantly touching the male students, either hugging them or just keeping her hands on them. I remember her saying( whenever she would give her number to a student) to call her later tonight. Principal never cared about her inappropriate actions! They made be harder to catch, but female predators are out there.

Holly Cornett

Thank You so much Zach! Recently I was going through my son's computer from school. Since he is doing virtual learning, the laptop was given to him, however youtube, google, and other websites are not blocked because the teachers use these tools for teaching purposes. Well, I decided to make sure he was doing what he was supposed to be doing on there, and thankfully he was, but I did feel a bit guilty about it. (hes almost 12) Thank You for reassuring me . I too hated feeling violated from my parents going through my things as a child, so I understood that perspective when making my decision. I appreciate you, and all the hard work you put into this cause, and everyone else that does as well! stay safe and happy holidays! <3

Blue

this was a really great episode :) love that you’re covering the topic of female predators it feels like nobody else even acknowledges them

ashley nicks

You have a stance in calling it equal but worse. I wouldn't say so. A 15 year old girl can get pregnant, a 15 year old boy can't so there's definitely trauma that can be added to a young girls rape incient. (Unless the boys predator was a grown woman who could also get preggers and cause the boy lots of future issues)

BarkBark

There really needs to be more parents being vigilant with checking their children’s phones etc. This really helped me feel less guilty about some of the stuff that happened to me when I was young and online. My kids will not have access to the internet (or very little with supervision lol) for this reason!

You’d make such a badass prosecuting attorney

Sara

You should do more podcasts about your research of predators, like Crime Junkie but predator style

isabella ortega

More people need to hear this episode. Like many other comments say, the double standard of male and female predators is disgusting. When men say "I wish my female teacher did that with me," it minimizes the feelings of the survivors, whether it was a boy or girl. It also disgusts me how little time served many of these predators get. They are committing the worst crime possible and get out with a year and a half served. There needs to be a change in how these cases are handled. There should not be a plea deal offered to predators, they should be getting a lot more time. I am graduating with my bachelor's in social work this week and plan to start working with CPS. I am hoping to try and help these kids understand and work through what happened, but I know many still fall through the cracks. It is sad to see how much this crime happens and how little gets reported. Thank you Zach for everything that you continue to do to help put these people away and raise awareness for this.

Elvin Kupe

Great episode, Zach. The double standard with female predators always disgusts me. Grown men say "I wish that happened to me" when a young boy gets victimized only makes it harder for victims to come forward and brings more shame to them. They wouldn't say that to young female victims so why say it to boys?

JT

I really resent the fact that female predators aren't taken as seriously as male predators. Also, I can't wait to see your confrontation commentary on this predator you met a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U9-LtZHlP8&feature=youtu.be&t=176

Slow Loris

It's so sick that adults blame their child victims by saying they asked for it or wanted it. It doesn't matter if the child thought they wanted it in that moment. Children can not consent to sex with adults, and it's twisted that adults deflect responsibility even after the facts come out. There was a teacher at the high school I went to who was sentenced to 6 months in jail for having sex with an underage male student, and she sued HIM afterwards for harming her reputation and career.

The first predator I came accross was a female and I'm so glad my dad was there cause I was too young to understand anything. It was on skype and I was like 5 or 6 and a random woman called my dad on there, since my dad only used Skype to talk to my uncle I thought it was him so I answered. she just started asking me some questions and wanted to know where I live and my dad came from the other room running to quit the call and educate me about strangers online. I didnt have access to the internet that early btw my dad just forgot to turn off the computer and he was very right about that.

I'm going to add a quick trigger warning to this comment: there is mention of a female predator, male predator, sexual assault, grooming, and suicide. When I was in middle school, there were a bunch of rumors about our female art teacher having sex and grooming her students. A lot of boys went to the principal because she made them feel very uncomfortable, but they would always get punished because it's bad to "make up rumors." It was super disturbing, and a friend of mine at the time fell victim to her, and it really messed him up. Now, flash forward to my freshman year of high school. The high school art teacher gets caught for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student, and the dude kills himself. To take his place, they transfer the female middle school art teacher to the high school. Throughout my high school years, she has sex and assaulted her underaged male students. A lot of boys went to the principal to report her, and again they were disciplined for "making things up." Flash forward to my senior year, the parents of a 16-year-old student walked in on her having sex with their son in his bedroom. FINALLY, they caught her!!! She was put on the sex offender registry, but I don't think she ever served jail time. She was a dangerous woman, and the boys she groomed and assaulted were never taken seriously. Women predators exist, and as a society, we all have to believe they're real and dangerous.

Anna

It bothers me as a woman, that women are not looked at or treated the same way that a male predator is treated or looked at. I think it's actually worse when a female is the predator.

JenLuvsHalloween

I remember when I was a kid and the Pam Anderson Roast came out on Comedy Central, omg I watched that over and over lmao when I was younger, I also had a crush on Pamela Anderson. 😂🤦
