I started with Justin Payne because I was digging through some old bait house videos from dateline or whatever it was. I watched them when I was a kid in the 90s. Justin's videos popped up in the YT suggestions and then I saw your channel name in a comment or something. You're so much better because you don't hang onto cars and crap. You also don't cry about how it's ruining your mental health. I still watch Justin on YouTube but I won't watch the whole thing because when he confronts someone he acts like he's trying to discover the meaning of life and drags the conversation out too long. This Alex guy sounds like a bad person trying to prove he isn't by catching Pedos. I don't plan on watching his crap.

While using the patreon app to watch the videos you have to keep the video open or it will close out, i believe there is a way to post your private patreon videos on youtube so we can listen to them while having our phone screens switched off or in other apps. Another person on patreon i subscribed to does it but i have no clue how. 🙃

I'm glad Zach does it all the proper way. You have to be super careful not to do/say anything that would be considered baiting, or they might not get charged. The whole case can completely fall apart..unless you're just trying to publicly shame a predator, then that all goes out the window...but you want to remain as professional as possible regardless of intent.

2021-05-04 10:21:55 +0000 UTCMaybe I’m thinking of someone else, but CC Unit came across as super arrogant, self righteous, and annoying in the EDP video. I couldn’t take him seriously but then again I couldn’t take any of them seriously with how they were handling the situation. I think Zach does the right thing by letting the predators talk first because then it looks better on Zach; when you talk first, it looks like you’re trying to poke them and push them into predator behavior. I’m not sure if that’s accurate but that’s how I see it. Great podcast. Totally worth the $5 a month.

2021-05-04 03:37:49 +0000 UTCI totally understand people's criticisms of Alex. I don't mind his humor. I took the time though to look into the context of the "gotcha" clips. I also see that ALL of his friends are either black or Mexican, and that's how they joke. Many would say: "But still, he can't..." Yeah, I just don't care. The thing about Alex is that went from being a prop in other people's crude vigilante videos to a (mostly) grown up predator catcher. Even the "boxing the pred" video was a 2019 video when he let prank channels set up a lot of his content. From 2020 on, he's run the show himself, and it explains why legit catchers now collab with him. Still, too much online is out of context to debate, so I won't. Again, there is still plenty to criticize him about. However, the dude is just too good at finding the worst of the worst, and he'll travel all over the country to get them. Lately, his catches have been getting arrested as well. I agree, his prank content isn't a good look for the pred catching community at large. That's a problem. It also didn't help that his main channel with recent catches went down right before the EDP catch, so all anyone sees is old and dank second channel content. He'll figure it out though as he still matures and finds a more suitable platform for his content off YouTube. I hope he does because underneath the drama is a smart guy that finds and exposes really, really bad ones.
