Added 2021-06-15 09:11:42 +0000 UTCUPDATE 6/23: Drake Bell pleaded guilty as charged at his hearing today despite his attorney stating to the media weeks ago that they intended to fight the charges. This leads me to believe that what Drake Bell did was actually much worse than the charges he pleaded guilty to. Sometimes the prosecution goes light with charges at first in the hopes of the defendant pleading guilty, otherwise the prosecution will threaten greater charges, let alone the risk of Drake losing at trial had he not taken this plea agreement.
The charges Drake Bell pleaded guilty to are attempted child endangerment (felony) and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles (misdemeanor) in Cuyahoga County, OH.
His defense attorney made no comment but explained that when he is sentenced on July 12, it will be clear "why Mr. Bell chose to enter today's plea." Also during his sentencing, the victim may give a victim impact speech, possibly detailing Drake's criminal behavior.
We still don't know what exactly Drake did. Until he is sentenced on July 12, we don't know much, but in my opinion it's more abhorrent than what I originally speculated in this podcast and I wonder if Drake pleaded guilty in part because he wants to keep this case quiet and not exposed to the public too much -- attention that a trial would surely bring.

With former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell being arrested recently involving inappropriate contact with a minor girl, we can only speculate on what actually happened until we learn more during his next hearing which is set June 23rd.

Plenty of people have experienced abuse and grow up to be upstanding citizens. This guy in particular grew up in a privileged environment. My first theory would be that Drake has witnessed people get away with abuse and he believes he can too. It’s only a matter of time before he strikes again and the justice system will be to blame. Good for the young girl, that takes a lot of strength.
