What a great video, with so much great information and food for thought! As a person who grew up with a vivid image of hell in my mind, I continue to deconstruct it throughout my adult life. It's incredible how these early ideas can stick in your brain even though you can see how they developed and morphed over time. What about the Egyptian idea of the soul being weighed in the scale after death - in other words, an afterlife judgment? Do you think this idea found its way into the development of hell?
