Path to 0.13 (Main devlog)

When Patrik arrived to Hartlepool, he found it in pieces, divided. Nothing seemed to work quite right, as a reflection perhaps of the whole Duchy. Even with the full collaboration of the harbor authorities was given, he didn’t find any straight answers to the problems at hand.

A storm is coming, and Sir Patrik will be that storm.

0.11 and 0.12 updates set the scenario; Update 0.13 will be the major Main Story update since the game release on 0.10, bringing closure to the main quests of Hartlepool, so Sir Patrik can focus on the rest of the important locations of Chapter 2, and the rest of Hartlepool content soon to appear in side content updates.

The main story of Hartlepool resolution will consist on 26 main scenes, with many of them being exclusive to two different paths. Tobias has drawn a walkthrough for you:

It will feature Action, Diplomacy, lewdness, and the first sparks of love interest in the story. (This means at least 600 renders of the update are at least being produced as Main story quality content, no filler)

The time investment cost of this update will have me focused more on just finishing this part main story, and leave the Kaelkirk resolutions for future updates. From the list of priorities of this update, I’ll still be adding Akros Manor progression scenes.

The Nitty Gritty:

-All Main important conversations are written.

-All new environments for this update are completed at 90%

-All characters for this update are completed. Only some extras needed to make to fill some scenes.

-More than 300 renders are ready. Possibly the whole update will require around 1000. (This means some solid weeks of daily rendering with hopefully minimal amounts of pc crashes).

-70% of the coding of this update will be just linear scene coding (No traders, no lots of little conversations, no lots of items interactions). That means coding will be faster, even if is still a lot of coding.

As several of you know, I've been having pc issues (crashes) costing time and effort. I've tried to pinpoint it to no avail, and to make a long story short, I am planning on a completely new good rig (There is no reason of losing more working hours trying to find the problems). While this will save me time in the longrun and will improve my work’s quality, at present I will have to take some freelance work and little projects to finance it. So I'll need to cut back my 10-14 hour days on BFL to a more reasonable 8ish. This means 0.13 may not make it out in March, But as always, the gameplay length will be specially good for the time waiting for it.

Thanks for the support ;)
