The big mistake I made when I was working on this piece was not including the color splash from the very beginning. I had focused on the character itself with the idea that if every part is good, then the collection should be perfect. But making sure her skin was looking smooth and fooling around with her gloves design was ultimately a waste of time, as in the end it was all hidden beneath the other layers.
Visual Inspiration
I was looking for a pose that emphasized long female nails as something feminine and potentially dangerous and thankfully there is a lot of vampire fandoms out there. Female Pexels model served as a base for her face. While my artworks are clearly inspired by an anime I am trying to still keep them fit for the western audience. Master Zeronis artworks perfectly capture stylized face expressions of beautiful women and in his work I found the feeling of hunger and contempt fitting the character of Reyna.
