Medusas & Death!

So the big news this week is that--of course--Raging Swan Press released GM's Miscellany: 20 Things Volume I. If you haven't already, use your special codes to go download the version of your choice (or both!) I'd love to hear what you think of the book--or perhaps even talk you into leaving a review.

In 20 Things related news this week, I've only got two new posts for you this week (because I was working on a long post for my blog--more below), but they are goodies!

I've dedicated 10 Statues to Find in a Medusa's Lair to one of my players, Tim Ayres. Tim is legendary in that during a campaign run by a friend (Evil Red Hodges) his character got turned to stone in back to back sessions. If anyone can fail a saving throw vs. a basilisk's gaze, it's Tim! (And as you can imagine we were all terribly supportive of his run of bad luck and didn't make fun of him at all...)

In other news, I had a lot of fun writing up 10 Minor Side Effects of Returning from the Dead. The consequences of returning from the dead are something that gets almost no design time in Pathfinder (beyond affording the expensive material components) which I think is a shame for such an important event. I suspect, I may be using the article myself in the next session or two as my party are reaching the climax of Curse of the Lady's Light.

And have no fear, I've got three new 20 Things articles coming your way this week. And the week after that, I suspect I'll have some more guest posts for you as I've recently be inundated with submissions.

In other news, last week I posted an article about CRs over on my personal blog. Snappily entitled, The Concept of CR-Appropriate Challenges is Too Engrained in Our Minds it's the result of some recent gaming experiences I've had in my Shattered Star campaign. I think it's worth a read, and I'd be jolly interested to see what you think about the subject as it's implications may colour my upcoming module writing efforts.

And that's it for today. I'll see you all on Friday for GM's Monthly Miscellany: April 2016!
