Flying Saucer Video (reboot) pages 1-5 and announcement

Hello! what the heck is this? So this month was really intense with multiple cons (thank you for coming to see me!!!!) and more hours at work. I was way too exhausted to work on Ethernet Cable Girlfriend, which is a project I take pride in being well written and illustrated. It made me miss the early Matchmaker days when I was just posting extremely casual silly comics for people to enjoy without them being any kind of hard work. I've decided that alongside the project I've been working on here, I'd like to do that kind of thing again too!

When I thought about what story to use for a silly matchmaker style comic strip, my mind wandered back to Flying Saucer Video, a comic I was making about a year ago. I'm still proud of it, but it was my first post-matchmaker comic and sophmore slump hit me hard. I didn't know what I wanted it to be, and it felt like I was doing everything I could to keep the train going laying down the track as I went. I petered out and didn't know how to continue it.

To fans of that incarnation of the comic, I'm sorry to rework it into something else and start from scratch, but I had so much fun making these silly pages and have a really wonderful picture in my head of the fun comic strip version of this story. I hope people like it!!

Juggling two projects will be new territory for me, so thank you for your patience as I figure things out! My plan is that this will be a casual project that posts publicly (with early pages here), and that ethernet cable girlfriend will continue as it has been, though maybe at a slightly slower pace. We're going to see how it goes! I think a fun casual webcomic, and a more graphic novel-y story will be a good balance of artistic projects instead of just hunkering down on one thing for a year at a time lol. I will be declaring next month "comics june" due to the extreme ammount of comics that will be drawn!!!!

This is my plan for now but I'm going to take some time to think before I announce anything publicly! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this idea and these pages! I want to work on some new ethernet cable gf before I go any deeper into this new thing!
