💗 NEWS 💗 Starting the novel! (+updating tiers)

Hey sweeties! I’ve been thinking A LOT about my future as an artist and my aspirations. During the quarantine I haven’t had a lot of familiar support about my goal to be an artist (in fact, they have shown openly their disagreement) but these days I’ve meeting my friends and people I love, and they have encouraged me to continue with my dream.

So after this random introduction (sorry!) I want to explain what I’m planning to do from now on. I want to continue [Muraka Project] as an illustrated novel, since, considering my current skills and the length of the story, I think it’s a better format than the webcomic. My original idea was to save enough money to pay for a proper translation (a lovely person offered with a more affordable price!) but I want the final file to be free, so any person will able to download and read if they want. At the end, it’s a personal and passionate project I want to see finished, and not a way to make money.

But recently, because of all the commissions, my thesis and other works, I haven’t dedicated that time I would have liked to, since well, I can’t stop working to have some income while I finish my studies 🥺

So the decision I found is putting more strict deadlines, and a way to get it is the “pressure” of having to share it somewhere regularly. And Patreon seems a good place, since I will feel that people will be paying a bit for reading it, and also, it will help me to save the money I need for the proper translation!

It’s not at all the main reward of Patreon, I don’t think people can be as interested in my story to pay for it heheh but I wanted to give it as an extra to the basic rewards of each month. Because of this, I decided to adjust a bit the tiers, since it didn’t seem very balanced now that I wanted to include this as a reward of [Capuccino $1] tier!

Also as I’m starting to paint with traditional supplies again, I thought I could add more rewards related to them :) I really hope you like them!

How this is going to be!

As you know, English isn’t my mother tongue, and I’m writing the story in Spanish. But I had the luck to find a person who is going to help me with the corrections with the chapters (I pay with art heheh) 🥺

So the plan is uploading a new chapter (.pdf) every 25th of each month, both in Spanish and in English! About the art, I will try to have the art finished for each chapter, but maybe I will just be able to share an unfinished concept in the pages, depending on the time!

I have no idea how long it will take to finish the novel, but I’m sure thanks to this I will be able to go faster and with more motivation! ☺️

Also it’s my first time writing a story this long, so aaaa please be patient 😭 I hope I won’t do a mess with the narrative and those things! But that definitely will help me too to see what things I may change in the future when I correct and edit the final draft 💗💗

Also oh! As this is a public post, I just wanted to say that my next goal is earning 500$ from Patreon to being able to move from my parent’s house and pay the rent. Is quiteeeeee far away but heheh the good point is that I have enough time to prepare myself mentally that I will have to talk in videos 😁 (which is the new reward if I reach that amount)
