We have another episode of Star Trek TOS today. Today's episode is The Empath. I know I said I wasn't going to film today, but I did lol. I enjoyed this episode and the message of compassion, courage, and love it portrayed. Beware...I sound horrible, but I did my best. π

A lot of fans really dislike this episode because of its minimal sets and theatrics, but I think those things work in the episodes favor. It's a beautiful story, well acted and produced with a lot of heart. Also, I give you so much credit for filming while sick! Hope you feel better soon!!

2024-02-08 17:42:52 +0000 UTCI don't know who was suffering more in that reaction - the Empath, Doctor McCoy or you :( Speaking of McCoy, his decision to take the pain in place of Spock was very noble; and DeForest Kelly's performance was superb. Trivia: this was one of three episodes that the BBC infamously banned for many years,due to its scenes of suffering. The other two were Miri, and a story you haven't seen yet. It all seems very tame by modern standards, but I can see why they wouldn't have thought it suitable for a young audience. Hope you're feeling better!
