I talk about working with Lilii Kaona and Suzuriha yesterday at Varit and also coming home from the show and getting a big middle finger in my face from somebody I trusted who was helping me in the idol world. Hey Derek, just found some time between waiting for calls at work to listen to your new podcast in small brackets. Bad to hear one of Mihos Songs got quit. Thinking about this it´s basically the problem as consumer I had with commercial idol industry before I learned of what Ricky and you do and you opened a door to a world where idol still is cool as hell. Before I knew you I found several bigger commercial idol groups on the internet and literally every song sounded the same. Catchy and instantly forgettable. No passion for the song, just Factory Farming for Japanese idol pop songs… Sometimes a composer is more talented, but in the end it just keeps a factory farming principle. You find a certain quality but this is composing without heartblood. It sucks to have lost an 80 % complete song but you know people who actually care about what they produce.
