The Story So far (still not quite out of the fire), plus 15 germ live, Another Aphrodite live, and a funny lesson about the things friends do to cheer you up....

Read the title and enjoy this somewhat amusing narrative about my past two days... and also I'm sort of getting back to normal but still nowhere near where I need to be.
Looking to hear your thoughts on what to do next... Enjoy.

You created a LINE ID? Send me a private DM with your QR Code... or email it to me. That's wonderful! It would be nice to talk to you directly sometime. Of course... when you have time lol. As for your story, very interesting! I have experience with Dutch people a lot because of my blog/podcast I was part of with several Dutch people. Plus, I flew to the Netherlands several times and really love your country a lot. The people, the culture... it's all very wonderful. I'm always really happy to visit there when I can. And I appreciate the directness a lot. It's very much my style. To live in a country where things can be so deeply buried in regards to feelings of anger and what not... it's difficult to maintain any kind of real relationship for this reason. Like, you THINK you are close to somebody, but it's all smoke and mirrors here. That is something my Western Mind cannot grasp and probably never will. Anyway, thank you for your advice too... a part of me thinks that might be a better solution too, since it could conjure up feelings that are not too nice in regards to me. The other side of this though is that I'm now going to be shunned by these people who were affected and that's worse... like, I'd rather do the direct thing and show them how much I care about the situation. But... again... that's Western thinking, and so I'm really trying to figure out what is the best solution to this issue. Thank you so so so much as always for listening to the posts and being amazing. I look forward to the upcoming cheki sessions, As for right now, Miho is at 67 cheki sold, which is fantastic, but still a long ways off from the goal. So I hope people can come through in these past few weeks and crush it for her. Talk with you soon and I wish you well. Take care and thank you so much!

Heya Derek, thanks for another audio post. I was not really sure what to comment on your last one, but I'm glad to hear the situation is getting somewhat better. I am not sure how badly Japanese people hold grudges but I hope that they can realise that you made an honest mistake. I had a similar situation with a friend, who tested positive on Christmas day and we had seen him on Christmas eve. I kinda flipped at him because we almost had to cancel Christmas plans and he worried my grandma. In the end it was a false positive and we celebrated Christmas, although being careful. After some time of being cross with him everything is well again. What I'm trying to say is that when health gets involved, mistakes are a bit more impactful but I hope it will be forgiven and forgotten!! As for if you should apologise to those you will not see for a while.. I think considering Japanese culture it's better to let it slide. If you bring it up after some time it will reopen the feelings of the situation and they might give you a false feeling of forgiveness to your face while deep down they feel salty. But then again, I haven't lived in Japan like you have so take my words with a grain of salt. In Dutch culture we are known to be very direct. When something is wrong or whatever, we usually confront the other person about it. If you wanna hear a funny story, I actually confronted a classmate of mine because she did nothing for our group project but faked her hours so it looked like she had. I am an innocent cinnamon roll but that day I was Miss Satan lol. I also told the teacher on her but have yet to get a reply from him. If you were wondering, I started on my school project for IU again. I had to pause most of my uni activities for my mental health but I'm back into the swing of things! Will update you when I have cool things to show for it. Please know that I am always here to listen and support you. I made a LINE ID for you so feel free to give me a call (please not in the middle of the night though haha) if you're in the need for some chatting. I look forward to the cheki sessions and I'm buying tickets as soon as my money comes in. Have a good one, Derek. Love always, Romy <3
