Unless I missed it, I don’t think the show has ever indicated that Cal has intentionally pursued minors. I think they make it clear that he believed Jules was legal, and no one else we saw him with looked underage at all.

It's not his wife or his children's fault that he has hid his sexuality his entire life and that he's been sleeping with minors and taping people against their consent. Cal is a sexual deviant and a narcissist, it's no wonder Nate is as screwed up as he is.

2025-07-26 12:13:40 +0000 UTCI'm not defending Cal but the reason he blames his family and especially Nate is because in the previous episode when we saw him and Derek get together, Cal realizing he wasn't fully straight, he got the call in the morning from Marsha saying that she's pregnant. And from then on, his life of being open to who he wanted to be was over and he felt "forced" to become a straight family man. So that's why he sneaks around his double life, because if Marsha never got pregnant and he didn't have to marry her (it was a different time) then he could've been himself. Basically, this was never the life that he wanted but he felt like he was forced into it.
