Both Gilbert brothers, Grayson (the MD) and John, had rings, although at this point we don’t know anything about the rings’ origins. Younger brother John gave his ring to Isobel, who in turn gave it to Alaric. After Grayson’s death John inherited Grayson’s ring. Remember also that Jenna told Elena that a 16-year old and pregnant Isobel showed up at Grayson’s medical office. He delivered the baby and gave Isobel a place to stay, but she dipped a few days later leaving Baby Elena behind. Isobel later met Alaric while in college at Duke. They fell in love, Isobel became obsessed with vampires, finds Damon and begs to be turned into one, and here we are. We now know John, with his knowledge of vampires in Mystic Falls, was the one who sent Isobel to Damon.

I told them many times to pause, when they need to talk, and carry on when they finish, because in this show there is no conversation that is not important or connected with something.

The point of us being here is to help the reactors to notice things and to help them to give the best reaction. If they didn't wanted to be helped they would have watch the show alone in the privacy of their own house and figure things out as we did. The point is that we figure things out after many many rewatch, and they can't, so they are disavvantaged. WE are here to close that disavantage, and point things to them they should pay attentetion to or things they have missed or connecting facts and everything else, wthout spoiling.
Also because some people here blantly lie about things purely to influence the reactors seeking validation of their weird world of twisted minds, that enjoy attention, and are desperate to push their own narrative that has nothing to do with TVD, but it has more to do with "i have issues and I see the world through hateful, bitter, black tinted glasses projecting my personal issues into fictional characters" reality that is very distorted, illogical, intollerant, mysogenist, anti non emasculated men, voided of emphaty, etc. all things that don't belong here, but in a psycologist practice. It has noting to do with us and the reason we are here which is to have fan, to open interesting conversations in the actual, factual TVD subject objectivelly. That is why pointing out things and help them to connect the dots, is important, !) to help them to be competitive with other reactors, they stated that they want to grow 2) to shup up the weirdos and their psychosis 3) to have fun. 4) because at the first view it is IMPOSSIBLE to be able to connect the dots, all of them, the show is way to complex, there are tons of details, they need our help.

Did you guys notice the sounds when Stefan touched Matt’s mom's forehead? We could listen to Stefan's heartbeat and brainwaves. Through sounds, it is a way to show the audience how Stefan is affected by human blood.

Stefan is extremely good/kind-hearted, he's not aggressive but there is a reason why he doesn't drink human blood, he has an addiction (think of it like alcoholism) damon kills and feeds for fun, Stefan has no control over it if he is on human blood. That's the difference. So damon has control but chooses to act evil, Stefan wants to be good but doesn't have control

The easiest way I fully understood what Stefan is going through is to link it with alcoholism😭 That's why he be off that human blood and drinks from animals instead. Cause he's literally an addict. A blood-aholic😭 And we all know how addiction affects one's thinking and behaviour...👀 I felt so bad for him; cause imagine being addicted to THAT lmao naaaah just kill me bro.

There's another channel who is just so good, they're called, Heatah and Hustla. They remember almost everything when it comes to shows and these niggas are pure comedy, there could be something from episode 4 that they'll bring up in relation to the 300 episode of that same show, they got the best memory out all reaction channels.

It might be helpful to rewatch specific scenes (for example the last scene with John, Alaric, and Damon.) Sometimes there are false assumptions being made because you missed a line here or there that would clear things up for you.

I also want to point out that this debunks all the “Damon senselessly murdered Elena’s mom” aka Isabel John knew she wanted that so he sent her to Damon , even tho we found out a episode or 2 ago that she wanted to be one & he didn’t just murder her I wanted to point that out

Damon and Elena are getting closer as Elena start to feel she can trust him more that she can trust Stefan. She is forcing hherself to show Stefan tat he doesn't scare er, because of the love she has for him, but there is no doubt tat she start to see thinngs she hasn't seen before.
There is an unconcious behaviour of complicity and relaxed familiarity, that makes Damon making jokes about going into Elena's bedroom in front of Jeremy like you would among your famil or close friiends, being sassy ramaging in her underwear drawer, and her being just very mildly annoyed, while having an important conversation about Stefan, or him to offer a rose to her and her acceptng it as if that gesture was the most normal thing in the world, while confiding with each other their own brother's issues.

Stefan and Damon, now we start to see the narrative "Good Brother Bad Brother" shaking, the writers gave us since episode 3 , little crumbles to follow, they are clearly leading to doubt that initial narrative, and Mair expressed it "what if the narrative was put there to be flipped?":
Stefan is getting scary by the minute, and Elena has no clue with who she is dealing with, because what we know about Stefan and Damon is directly from Stefan's mouth, hw he depict his Brother and himself and we know he is a lair, a master manipulator, and he knows how to manipulate people and gain trust.
With Bonnie’s grandma, he gave her his hand knowing she would read him as a vampire, and in doing that he shows her he exposed himself to her on purpose, making himself vulnerable. That gesture was done to gain her trust and to disarm any possible hostility.
Damon on the contrary is not diplomatic at all, he is flirty, sassy, use humour as a band aid, he is the opposite, i but he is capable to be very charming if he wants to, he is honest to a fault, he hates lying, and there is a reason for it that will be revealed., he will tells you the truth even if it is inconvenient for him.
Stefan's issue is that he is a pendulum, between two states on the opposite scale. He said to Vicky when she asked him if he ever drank blood, and his answer after a long pause was that he is not proud of his past, Damon in the first episode told him that he promises him an eternity of misery, we still don't know why, what we know is that Stefan at time when he was drinking blood that he must have behave badly., how badly we don't know yet. Going cold turkey doesn't help, because before or after he will have to face that he is a vampire not a human, and that if you didn't learn to control the blood lust, it will controls you.

IMO Stefan being a blood addict isn’t a gotcha. We already know that the basic instinct of a vampire is to hunt and kill humans. Stefan isn’t a better person because he’s never killed before, we know he has & he never hid the fact that he used to kill. He’s a better person because he actually cares enough to try and control that urge while Damon is an unabashed murderer 💀

What Jenna told Elena is that a pregnant girl came to Jeremy Dad’s office and he helped her deliver the baby, but then the woman (Isobel) ran away so Jeremy’s dad decided to adopt Elena.
With regards to the rings, in this episode John says that both him and his brother had rings. He gave his to Isobel, and then inherited his current ring from his brother. So basically, Alaric has John’s ring right now. That’s all we know so far.

In the scene where John was talking to Alaric and Damon , he says that he inherited his ring and his brother inherited the other (the ring on his finger is his brother’s) . He said “I wouldn’t have given mine to Isobel if I knew she’d give it to another guy” (the other guy is Alaric)

It is established now that the founders families are part of the council , the Gilberts Elena's parents and uncle John, the Loockwoods, Tyler parents, the Forbes, Caroline mom, and the Fells Logan and his family, plus more familiies we don't know.
Uncle John cleraly has is own agenda, otherwise why be expose himself to Damon and Alaric, and didn't tell anything to the Council of what he knows.
Jenna is not a Gilbert, therefore she wasn't part of the council, and she was kept away from all the things that te Gilbert family knew, al so because she wasn't living there before her sister died. Uncle John with that speech to Jeremy at the table, is trying to prepare Jeremy to be a proper Gilbert founder family member.
Damon had to kill him because he know he is threat, he made it appear like he fell off the balcony, litte did he kbow tat John has a ring like Alaric, a ring that bring you back to life. So one was of Grayson, Elena's father, an one was of John, John gave his to Isobel, and he inheritaed the Grayson one.
But is Grayson had the ring during the incident why did he died? There is more to that story that we have to learn too.
So many questions, How John knew isobel? Why he send her to Damon, how he knew where Damon was? How John knows about Katherine?

I agree you guys should write down the characters and maybe a family tree lol. Just so you keep relations clear.
Jenna is Jeremy’s aunt on his mother’s side. She’s legal guardian of the kids.
John Gilbert is Jeremy’s uncle (his father’s brother). And he’s manager of the estate (the house, the medical office & probably cash left in a trust).
The Gilbert’s adopted Elena secretly after delivering her outside the hospital & Isabel left to go to college. Marrying Alaric until she became a vampire and disappeared for good.

Yk I've always said that Stefan looks like the better brother only because Damon’s flaws are loud and messy. To me being “less bad” doesn’t automatically mean you're good(although I really don't think applying morals in this show is the way to go anyway). In this episode, we see Stefan spiral when he drinks human blood. And this is when Elena starts to see a side of him she's never been exposed to; violent and unstable. He's always presented himself as calm, noble, and safe. But here we're just shown that he has the same violent urges Damon does, just hidden under layers of control. Damon might be chaotic and reckless, but at least he’s transparent. And unlike Stefan, he's embraced being a vampire fully and has learnt to control his feeding urges so that's just why I've always preferred him, as messy as he is. With him, what you see is what you get
