Probably even romanticized, like "awe, look how much she loves him, not giving up on him" when we all know good and well we'd be telling that girl to stay far away from that man had that happened to someone we knew

Stefan yells at Elena, calls her names, aggressively backs her against a wall, screams in her face, slams his fist beside her head, and like all abusers, immediately apologizes. With the victim (Elena) comforting him in fear as a survival strategy. It's not subtle, yet Stelena stans overwhelmingly wipe this off the board for Stefan/forget about it and never hold him accountable.

He does not have control and is in denial, if you think stelena is toxic wait for delena. Personally I don't like delena, I like stelena(not super tho) but I prefer the brotherhood, I think Elena would be best in no relationship

If someone is a drug addict and you confront them about it, they will also probably lie and say they have it under control and that it's not an issue. I don't wanna get too much into stefan's addiction cause i don't wanna spoil anything but just keep that in mind lol

I told them many times that in this show there is not one conversation they should miss, plus 30% of the storyline is told by body language, by the words of the song chosen very carfully, and they keep yapping over the show and miss so many important things.

Think about how an alcoholic can't just have "one drink" like everyone else at a party. You just finished Euphoria so you're aware how that can affect people's behavior. So you can't fully blame Stefan for his actions while he's like this. He's not in control of himself, like Damon said. It's an addiction like any other addiction. 💯

Like at the end despite caring about Stefan, he only chooses to stay outside the dungeon because Elena stayed.

It's funny how Damon's character (and Ian Somerhalder's charm) makes you feel for him despite all of the bad things that he's done.
