2025-10-16 03:04:05 +0000 UTCThat’s not why Alaric and John have the rings, The rings were passed down the Gilbert family through generations, Jonathan Gilbert had them, he thought he invented them as well as the pocket watch and compass but it was all Emily lol, so logically, since these rings were passed down to the Gilberts years after years, John had his, and his brother (Elena’s adoptive father) had his too, John knew all about vampires since a young age since he is a Gilbert and his older brother had taught him everything, he dated isobel when she was young and told her all about vampires so that’s how she got the obsession with them, he gave her his ring to protect her, he even said to Alaric « if I knew she’d give it to you I would’ve kept it » or something like that, so when Isobel knew for SURE, she will turn into a vampire, she knew she wouldn’t need the ring anymore so she gave it to Alaric to protect him before she left him for good, now, how does John have this other ring? Simply, as he explained it before, when Elena’s dad died (his brother) he inherited it, hope it’s clear for yall

Remember that Emily made Ancestor John Gilbert think he ”invented” the rings but she put spells on those, the compass & the watch. So the rings were passed down thru the Gilbert line. Somehow Isobel got a hold of a ring (probably from John since they dated as teens) & he thought vampires wouldn’t show up to Mystic Falls within his lifetime. However Isobel never came back to MF to be w/John and ended up giving his ring to her new man, Alaric 😂. This likely rubbed salt in the wound.

They're not as strong as his feelings for Katherine, but otherwise he wouldn't be doing all this. Every time Elena asks for something or needs something, he's hesitant but he does what he can for her selflessly. Not to mention how they've slowly been getting closer every episode.

2025-10-08 20:11:42 +0000 UTCisobel exposing that damon is in love with elena always cracks me up LMFAO. cus he knows it and stefan knows it. also, what she meant by “katherine got out” of being around the salvatore brothers is because they were both in love with her. katherine loved both of them but she was only IN love with one (stefan). so i guess in a way, she’s telling elena that the same cycle is gonna happen with her where she’s gonna be in between the two so she should get out while she can. a love triangle, if you will. that’s all i can say without spoiling 😌. so glad yall are enjoying this. also the way damon threatened isobel was so hot LOL
