Teenage Mutant Tunnel Goons Digital Download!

***8/11/23 UPDATE: PDF updated to version 1.1 (some minor corrections) and Printer-friendly character sheet added.***

You are a teenage mutant fighting crime in the mean streets of the big city! The Fist Clan, rival mutants, and even alien invaders don't stand a chance against your team of weirdo tunnel goons!

TMTG is a Ninja Turtle-inspired hack of Nate Treme's Tunnel Goons, a minimal RPG that is easy to learn and fun to run. TMTG includes simple rules, quick character and team creation, guidelines for GM's, and even an adventure creator. You can download the PDF of the game from the link at the bottom of this post!

After a bit more playtesting and said revisions the book will head to the printer. If everything goes as well there, I estimate it to ship out to Legend Tier patrons in early September.

A reminder that Patreon automatically charges you on the first of every month! TMTG is the July zine. There'll be an announcement in the first half of August with more details about a TMTG adventure. If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a message and I'll get you taken care of!

Have fun being RAD!

Thanks!

I would suggest printing the Pages version using Adobe Acrobat's booklet printing. It's pretty easy, just select booklet from the print menu. You might have to flip each sheet of paper if your printer doesn't do double sided. Not too difficult though!

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what is the best way to print the 'spreads' version (I'm assuming this is a landscape format for center-stapling?) Is there a specific program that works best?

Jason

Just wanted to say quickly (quick, because I didn't realize Patreon charges on the 1st of the month, and here I am signing up at the end of the month!) that your work is super-inspiring to me. I love your videos and all of your content, and I look forward to poring over it all now that I was able to download it. TMTG drew me here the most, so thanks for that!

Thank you. The session was great everyone had a blast at the table.

If the PC's attack and "miss", that's like the enemy attacking. The PC takes the difference in the roll and the DS. You describe how it happens in the fiction. Combat can definitely snowball, especially when players hit a bunch in the beginning and get the DS lower. So if you want them to make separate attacks, the players would still roll to avoid whatever DS you choose.

I'm preparing to run this next week. Not sure if I missed something but how to you determine the DC for PC's when they are attacked by the baddies. I picked up the mini funko pop figures they are the perfect size. Our group is very excited for this one.

Returning patreon here - this got me back. Will play this with the kids as soon as possible. Already working on a session 0 so i can set up session 1 with proper tokens, maps etc. Great work!

My daughter and I had a blast playing TMTG this weekend. She’s 6 and was bouncing around with excitement. Thanks for the awesome game!

Unless they are surprised or a Bad Guy has a special move or something, I let the players go first in whatever order they choose (encourage them to work as a team!) But I've also done it where I choose a player to roll a d6. If they get 4 - 6 they go first. If they get 1-3 enemies go first. I've found that when the enemies go first the players lose more HP in a fight, but it still takes about the same amount of "rounds" for them to take out the enemy.

I have a question, how do you prefer to go about initiative in this game?

We played it last saturday, its shelltastic! We are going for a mod next session, we are going full Dinosaurs. (Extreme dinosaurs style)

Brilliant! I love it. Are there any plans to do a pdf version in single pages (not spreads)?

Robert Larner

I'm loving it!

Cesar Machado

The colours and the art is so good! Love it!

caribou

I love it JP! I just absolutely love it! Can’t wait to get my hands on the physical copy!

Nate Campbell

Thank you! Your comment reminded me I need to get everyone's names in the Thank You section!!!

Skimmed through it. Love the art and layout. I will be sure to read it more carefully when I get back to the states. My daughter and her friends should have fun playing this, especially after seeing the movie soon. Well, off to Tokyo now. Enjoy Gencon. It was a blast to help give input. Hopefully we can do that every month.

Bringing me right back to my childhood. Thanks for putting out such fun ideas.
