Would y'all be okay if I spent some time writing some short stories (with quicker turnaround)? This is on top of doing pipeline and outlining work I need to do for the first draft of course. I have a sort of backlog of short stories I'd like to do and it'd be nice to kinda warm up and get back into the swing of writing things that aren't essays or prose.

The stories I want to write, which you get first while I look for a home for them are below:

(anxious wolf boy celebrates intimately with his black bear boyfriend in his van after winning 3rd place at the pow-wow’s war dance competition. Rough and risky in public)

-My side of the fence
(bad boy wolf tries to temp a supposedly straight dog farm boy to climb over the fence and try things with him in the woods. Mild domination.)

-Not anxious with you
(Cheetah boy is stressed from increasing pressure at work, but feels safe, supported, and loved at home with his active dog boyfriend who has unfounded anxieties of his own about not being able to do or be enough. Worship-based banging)

(In 1934 Georgia, a Wolf faces tough choices when his Dog best friend (with benefits on the downlow, because speakeasies were like that.) tries to convince him to try and pass himself off as white like him so they can play more clubs and get radio play on the newly nationalized broadcast system, when the Race Records allowed stations to ban native and black artist like him and his fellow musicians. Ultimately tells him to fuck off (and for the better). But boy does it hurt.)
