Some Reveals

Most of my work this month have been focused on two things, the top secret nda work I've been under contract for and the last bits of production pipeline work for Protect the Sacred. Two things you'll get to see the fruits of really soon.

For one, I get to announce what this secret NDA project I've been working on is sometime this month. It's been neat seeing bits and pieces of my suggestions make it through to the near-final text and guide parts of the book's tone.

As for my own work, I've been:

-Outlining and organizing the chapters of the final book

-organizing and creating assets for graphic design (like this snazzy new logo)

-plotting out layouts for intense work like playbooks and character sheets so I know how to structure some content.

-Writing a second playtest adventure with all the mechanics involved. I've had enough playtest that I'm secure that my dice mechanics are more or less where I want them. Some minor point values may be shifted but I know exactly where they are and what should be.

This new adventure is going to be a full, likely multisession adventure framed around historical black pirates and Bermudian folklore where you are in charge of following leads, investigating locations, and finally infiltrating a magical shipwreck dungeon. I'm about 5 pages deep at the moment and I'm expecting it to break 10. So keep an eye out for a playtest announcement in the near future! Unlike the last one, expect this one to make it's way to the generalized public (after the higher tier patreon supporters get first crack of course).

I've got to finish the adventure, make character/base sheets, make test characters, and make a cheat sheet of mechanics first.

Eventually, expect a character creation playtest as well. But I have a lot of writing to do before that happens.

This month is also my birthday! I'm planning to spend it playing yakuza 8 and eating tacos.
