2022-06-18 18:26:38 +0000 UTCGreat reactions, Jen! Yeah, Christopher Reeve is (was) quite the hunk! A true tragedy what happened to him. I would suggest watching "Superman II" (1980) and then stop after that one. The third and fourth got progressively worse due to shrinking budgets. "Superman Returns" (2006) has so many plot holes and some of the castings make it almost unwatchable. Brandon Routh as Superman and Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor do okay. But Kate Bosworth is completely miscast as Lois Lane. I would also suggest "Man of Steel" (2013) as it is a very good watch and a somewhat different take on Superman's origin story. Jor-El (played by Russell Crowe) isn't just a scientist, but a scientist warrior who knows how to handle himself in a battle. Adult Kal-El / Superman is played by Henry Cavill, terrific bit of casting. With Lois Lane portrayed by Amy Adams. And yeah, there's the love story between them you'll probably like.
