2024-10-09 21:45:13 +0000 UTCThe last time I chopped mortises was the first time I used a guide, and I think I'm gonna stick to it. It made it more accurate (I've cut mortises free hand that end up out of square "left and right" wise), but also easier and faster.

I have seen other channels talk about starting the mortise in the middle and working towards either end like you did, saving the final cuts for last as you did. Do you have reasons one is better than another or just a different way to get to the same end result?
