Thats an expensive hammer. I looked it up on Amazon.

Madeleine Yeh

The last time I chopped mortises was the first time I used a guide, and I think I'm gonna stick to it. It made it more accurate (I've cut mortises free hand that end up out of square "left and right" wise), but also easier and faster.

Daniel Bucci

Good tips,Rex. Thank you for this episode. Looking forward to seeing how you do the ends of the tenons where they intersect. Have a good week.

Matt Evans-Koch

It is _so_ nice to hear you say that the floors of mortises are all ragged. I don't think I've ever seen anyone say that before, and lord knows if you look at pictures of the things, they're flat as a board...

Kenneth Carlile

Great tips as usual. I have seen other channels talk about starting the mortise in the middle and working towards either end like you did, saving the final cuts for last as you did. Do you have reasons one is better than another or just a different way to get to the same end result?

Dave West

Emphasis on the egomaniacs was good touch. I can imagine over the years can the wear and tear can add up. Especially if you were a craftsman cut dovetails all day.

Richard C von Brecht

Thanks for another great entry in this series!

Paul Sellers talks about mortise guides. What do you think about them?
