Added 2021-12-26 23:45:51 +0000 UTCViolet Reborn has fallen victim to Asian bots reposting on another website (East Tale). I think almost every story from Royal Road has been reposted there so I don't see them staying up for very long.
I just wanted to let you know, I am going to be only posting one chapter a week on Royal Road until this mess is cleared up. I will continue to post three chapters a week on Patreon. It will be interesting to see how far ahead Patreon gets by the end of this.

I think getting Patreon far ahead is a very good idea in any case. Most extreme examples I know are Mecanimus and Xel - the latter to the extreme (he really seems to hate RR readers, only giving them a new chapter very infrequently). Look at how well Zogarth is doing, he too has a lot of ahead-chapters. I also think stuff getting posted elsewhere does not really matter for your bottomline. If you publish anything on the Internet, expect it to be copied. I even know sites copying from paywall sites. That happens to small-time authors and also to big media with a paywall, there is a scraper for everyone. There are a lot of countries where foreign copyright just does not count for much, unless it's some big company that can make a deal.
