I think this was posted before. Talented cast and the writer went on to do Superstore and the upcoming St Denis Medical, but it has the key problem that it spends the entire episode setting up the inciting incident (the characters survive a plane crash) but doesn't show how the story would evolve as an ongoing series (they have to reevaluate their lives amidst exposed secrets and their new bond). Obviously, TV shows can get TOO formulaic, but it helps when a pilot demonstrates *A* formula that can be applied to future episodes.
