This was originally a script for a feature film that topped the "Black List" of unproduced scripts. I read it, and it had good atmosphere but not much plot. It was translated into this pilot for Hulu, and I believe it screened at Sundance but wasn't picked up as a series. Finally, it was redone with a completely different cast as a miniseries on Quibi. 'member Quibi? So, kind of a cursed property. Hope the writers got paid repeatedly!
