π[UPDATED] Blueberry Reaction Shot 01π
Added 2025-05-26 08:44:06 +0000 UTC
The First Pre-Animated Shot featuring live-action combined with CGI, fully lit and complete with sound effects, showcasing Foxloβs transformation into a giant blueberry! π« Thatβs rightβweβve made history today!!! π For the first time, we successfully integrated Foxloβs real head into a digital body, just as MPC (the now-defunct studio behind the VFX for the 2005 film) once did. Using similar methods and techniques, weβve achieved an incredible milestone. π¬
This process was incredibly complex and time-consuming π (which explains the slower activity on Patreon recently). We meticulously studied and analyzed every detail, refining the animation to align perfectly with the live-action footage. The result? Seamless integration of real-life elements with CGI during the compositing phase. Hereβs a quick breakdown of the workflow:
π₯ Filming: We recorded Foxloβs movements against a green screen, following the storyboard.
βοΈ Rotoscoping: Her movements were translated into 3D animation.
πSoftbody Inflation: Houdini was used to create the realistic inflation effect.
β¨ Integration: Foxloβs real head was carefully composited into the CGI body.
π‘Compositing, Lighting, and Sound Design: Using tools like Blender and Nuke, we polished the visuals and added sound for maximum impact.
It wasnβt without its challenges. This rotoscoping process was slow and meticulous, requiring countless adjustments to ensure a natural blend between the live-action and digital components. While this is already an impressive pre-animation, itβs not the final version. To make it even more realistic, we aim to keep more real-life elements (like Foxloβs arms and hands) in future iterations. However, this step will require additional time and effort to perfect the alignment of the live-action and CGI. π»
On the technical side: animation and lighting were completed in Blender, the softbody inflation effect was done in Houdini, and the live-action integration with CGI was achieved using Nuke. β¬οΈVideo Linksβ¬οΈ

Thank you very much, and this is just the pre-animation. The final result will look even more realistic, but it's much more complex and expensive. Thanks to your help, we'll be able to continue creating material of this cinematic quality! πππ«
