If you've been following me for a while, you know I love a mock magazine/comic cover. I did a short series of fake magazine covers for an imaginary magazine called GoodButts. They were simple and fun and I had wanted to do more of them, but sorta felt like maybe people were getting bored of the idea. Sometimes when your art is also your gig or side gig, you have to think about the whims of the audience. A cold fact, but not one that I can't adjust to.
I appreciate the design of a good cover. I love seeing the logos, the barcode, all of it. So for this doodle, I felt it appropriate to adorn it with some quick off-the-top-of-my-head design elements. I dig it! I liked the sketch without all of it, but with it, it feels like there's a story here, and it's fun to think about what that story could be! Who is this mysterious sex god and what's he planning on doing with his big, fat...divine power???
It's a VERY quick sketch before bed, but I hope you like it, flaws and all. And furthermore, I hope you have a marvelous Monday!
