Not so Subtle

I've gotten a ton of correspondence on how attractive and or hot/sexy Quinn appears lately. She was always intended to hold her own against Ellie. Just need my art to catch up with my ambition. haha

So I can't tell if Quinn is just being really insightful here, of if the title is hinting that she's projecting from her own personal experiences.

For me, there seems to be a subtle shift the last 3 Patreons in the drawing of Quinn - softer, perhaps? Like her hard exterior she uses with Ellie is missing with the baby of the family? It's very genuine.

I would think that both girls are relatively hotter than the other in their own ways. Ellie, while more physically gifted than Quinn, is hotter in her outgoing personality. Quinn is hotter in with her quick wit, sharp tongue and goals. She's driven and knows what she wants.

But then, it wouldn't be Quinn talking. It would be some pc editor hoping to make something for a very specific audience while not being honest to the rest of the readership. And it also seems to dumb down the dialogue. Frankly, I'm thinking of going to the library and getting "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" because someone told me that he likes to read, but he's only about halfway through the book after six months due to the amount of time that he can actually get away to read this book, along with having to look up certain words in the dictionary for a better understanding of the material. This generation is too stupid and laid back to survive in a 60s - 70s academic setting. And I doubt that people would get some of Puck's fake essays. It's not that Pumpkin is ambivalent about sex, just more, as it seems that she isn't interested in anyone at this time. The gender identity search is still moot because we as the audience still have no idea as to the way that the door swings. Or if there is a door at all. What Quinn is saying, don't rely on having your identity defined by someone other than yourself.

Haha. You must really hate the mom from American Dad. I can probably lighten it up a bit. You're not the first person to wage that complaint.

Where is the purple dress. She outpaces Ellie in that thing. And it was 50% off the retail price. AAAAAAAAAAA. Purple dress (hang on, trying to make this fit funny), purple dress, purple dress, purple rain, purple dress.

B.S. assignment on interpersonal skills. I love that.

And wow Quinn is smokin'....

The Lurker

The only change I would make to Quinns remark is "the person you want to partner with, and that does'nt have to be the same gender every time you pair off". Pumpkin is young and will make a lot of decisions in the near future... some will be for fun, and fun can include sex, but does'nt have to.

The Lurker

I suppose I'm having the opposite reaction. I recently noticed--like noticed-noticed--that only Quinn's upper lip is colored, and now it's freaking me out. It keeps reading as some sort of smarmy pink mustache. And with her pronounced eyebrows, she's got this disturbing Groucho Marx feel that clashes with the rest of her appearance. Or when her mouth is closed, like in the last panel, it reads like her mouth is open. I'm trying to picture what she would look like puckering up for a kiss, and my mind refuses to resolve the image.

Thormation

I've always thought that the main sources of Quinn seeming less attractive than Ellie are attitude (grumpy vs bubbly), scrawniness (at first), and obviously the instant trigger of breast size for some portion of the male population. Quinn's face always seemed to be intended as more objectively attractive than Ellie's from my view, just a negative personality projection will decrease attractiveness perception, and she often projects such. I like and appreciate Quinn's tunnel vision here. It's in the direction that I respect, too (i.e. following a value when it matters and considering it bullshit where it's just hot air as opposed to the many people who switch those two).

That One Guy

Quinn's last line is killer.
