Greetings! Before I get your hopes up, this is not the next story/content release, this is the final version of the current release. First, the links:

There’s nothing huge in this one, just fixes for a few potentially game-breaking bugs, and a couple of smaller ones. (Big ones: the Dranax fight and the flu minigame - again! - in case you’re wondering.) One of my goals with 0.9 has been to improve game performance (via engine upgrades) and get it mostly bug-free. Hopefully this release does it! In any event, this will be the last 0.9 release unless I've screwed something up really badly.

I'm still aware of two bugs; the first is the 'invisible wisp' bug from the Stone King fight. I think the fight works pretty well for most people, and the whole fight is so complicated that I've decided to hold off on jumping into it again.

The second bug is something you could encounter if loading saves from inside the nightclub made during certain 0.9.x releases (0.9.3 to 0.9.5, I think.) The screen will turn black and stay that way until you leave the nightclub. It has to do with the whole lighting mess, and since the problem will only appear for a small subset of saves made in a narrow range of releases, and because it would be pretty difficult to fix, I've decided not to worry about it. But if you do encounter this problem, if you can somehow manage to leave the nightclub you won't run into it again (even on subsequent visits to the nightclub.)

Now that the good news is out of the way, I have some bad news: I don’t think the next release will be done on the 22nd. I’d hoped to have it done before Christmas, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. The new goal is to have it done before the end of the year. I figured I should tell you as soon as it became clear that I wouldn't be meeting the earlier goal. I’m very sorry to disappoint T_T

Probably like with many of you, holiday obligations are beginning to take their toll on my free time, but I'm trying very hard to get things wrapped up. Hopefully I'll have good news to share soon, but until then - thank you for your support!
