Hi folks. So this month's game is The Golden Sea - and it's a D20 system, and fantasy at that, if you can imagine such a thing.
The front page details the setting - a sand-covered land where folk live in the tops of ancient skyscrapers and statues - as well as rules for making your characters and serving your twin patrons - the Goddesses Three, who slumber eternal beneath the dunes, and the Crown, who pays your wages. You'll sail the sand in a well-worn skimmer in search of profit, justice and discovery. There's also rules for NPCs who could help or hinder you on your journey - bandits, brutish Iron Errants, corrupt Golden Guard, inhuman Daughters of the Sand, and more.
Your character is formed of two paths, chosen at character creation, and there's no limit on what you can combine. The Witness/Defender protects stores of sacred knowledge - the Celebrant/Persecutor deals death with a smile and a song - the Oracle/Agent combined divine sanctuary with specialist Acquisitions training from the Crown (i.e. stealing everything that's not nailed down). Your combination determines how your can aid the caravan and your patrons.
It also has those little drawings of adventurers on it, because I felt it needed spicing up.
The rear page - available only to Patrons at the $15 tier or above, and not released online - has rules for equipment (such as razorcloaks, devotional masks and the mighty harquebus cannon), Upsearchings (crystal miracles that manifest from beneath the sands, like tiny questing glass hands) and random tables for omens, random events on the dunes, and plot hooks in ports.
I'll release it here next week, and publicly the week after that. I really hope you like it!
