It's hard to tell where the lies Erwin said he'd tell began, such a powerful scene

How’s that for a cliff hanger hahaha one of the hardest in the series. What can I say you totally got this episode, Erwin has to choose between sacrificing himself for humanities dream like he always preached as commander, or giving everything up for his own dream, and despite what he believed about himself and even what he told Levi in his office before the mission he chooses to die for humanities dream just the same as the hundreds before him. Now that’s how you right a commander.

Just a quick comment on how he needs a con man to convince them - the smoke signals lowering accuracy is a straight up lie. Beast titan is pretty much firing a gigantic shotgun so accuracy isn't an issue here, he was just being deceptive to convince them.

I don't know if you got Connie's joke "Eren no ie ga" which sound like "Jaeger" xd

"Erwin can inspire a rock to transform", I laughed so hard at that comment.
Such a great episode, the fear of the recruits and the desparation of the situation are so well portrayed.
When I first read/watched this part, I tried to put myself in Armin and Erwin's shoes, and how hard it is to be asked to come up with a plan. I couldn't come up with anything myself. But Erwin pulled through and he sacrificed his dreams to lead the charge. What a leader and well written character.
The speech was really believable. I asked myself what if they just disobey and he had an answer for that too.
I love Attack on Titan! :D
