I remember how speechless - almost numb - I was after episode 25. The feelings I got when I watched it back in 2013, while I was back in high school (I feel so incredibly old now), I still feel them when rewatching this. As someone who has always stood out somewhat, I found L quite relatable as a character. A lengthy comment, but L's passing cannot be trivialised.

Amazing reaction as always! I was so happy when I saw it was two episodes!! I really wish you'd react to Bakuman someday. It's a show about making manga from the same authors of Death Note, its as amazing as this show, but you can also have hints of how Death Note was made! I really liked how you catched that simbolism of Jesus washing Judas feet, its so well done! This episode is also really well directed, you can have that hope when L gets that call, but then Rem, very scary-like, appears

I like that they kind of let L go peacefully. in the manga Light smiles as soon as L goes down, and he thinks "I knew it, I wasn't wrong.." and then he passes. I also recommend checking out a deleted scene of L's funeral

I remember finishing episode 25 for the first time - and refusing to believe it. An incredible episode and an incredible conclusion to this arc. You are correct that these were the best two episodes of Death Note to watch back to back!
