The kid gloves are officially off, burnt in a fire, with the ashes power-washed into the gutter. Episode 10 does not get any easier on the re-watch, dear god.

2020-06-02 01:27:48 +0000 UTCNobody is ever prepared for episode 10. It feels like it comes out of nowhere - but honestly the whole show has been warning us and building up to it. It never gets easier to watch - but it is so well done. The amount of effort that went into the animation and voice acting... Although I don't want episode 9 to be overlooked! That hallucination scene is even better than I remembered - and as you said it may be the only time we experience 'that scene'. But not the way Riko wanted. Made In Abyss never disappoints!

2020-06-01 07:30:57 +0000 UTCOne of my favourite parts of this series are those enigmatic and poetic introductions the narrator gives. It's kinda disappointing how so little reactors pick up or comment on them. I'm glad you at least acknowledged the symbolism lol.
