This movie is so very good--I think your reaction makes watch number 3 for me. And it's still very painful to watch at parts. It reminded me (somewhat) of my Junior High-school days. But despite how rough that got, I don't think it quite compares to having a physical disability be the source of uncontrollable mocking--you can't really hide that, or ignore it, or try to change it. Like you said, kids can be so cruel--especially when they're at that sweet spot where they're smart enough to think of incredibly deep ways to cut you, but they lack the life experience or even just common sense to always realize they *shouldn't*.

Whaaat I had no idea this was coming, awesome movie! Think the pacing would've been better with a full series but story, animation and message wise it's amazing nonetheless! Also I had My Generation set as my ringtone so anytime I hear it now I perk up and look for my phone lol

If you enjoy manga, I highly recommend checking out the manga source material for this. Its only 63 chapters, and while I love the movie, and think it is visually stunning, the manga was far superior in fleshing out the backgrounds and relationships of all the characters.

A truly powerful movie - and one that only gets better every time I watch it. Every character feels incredibly real - many mirroring the negatives that we have to overcome in ourselves on a daily basis. There are only flawed people in the movie but nobody is a bad person. It helped me reconsider how I view people from my school days - where I had often struggled to fit in. If you are interested in more - I believe this finished the story earlier than the manga. So the story does continue at least for a short period after the movie ends. I've still to read it myself but intend to in the near future.

Oh yay what a good surprise! Its such a great movie. I was also tricked to going on space mountain. I thought it was going to be a fun kiddy Buzz Light-year ride. How wrong I was

I love this movie so much i was pleasantly surprised when i saw you upload a reaction to it. The characters are written so well that it is hard to not feel emotional watching this again even knowing how it plays out . If you are going to react to more anime films in the future if you have not seen Your Name (Kimi no na wa) i would highly recommend adding it to your probably already sizable list of anime you have to watch. Thanks for all the stellar content can't wait to see what else is in store coming up!
