The quietness of this series is so powerful. The police officers words made me feel that he was truly a good police officer. He made it seem as though early in his career, he felt he had a sharp eye for good and bad, and that his fellow officers praised his accomplishments. But over time he started to see his accomplishments as hollow, and not as accurate as he once perceived. But he walked away with a sense of new justice and seeing things for as they are. Not all criminals are bad, and not all good people are innocent.

This another great episode. Don’t know why I didn’t pick up on it before but the name of the local wine is “Ungeheuer “ another word for Monster.
I’d love to know how much research went into this story this is such a great and accurate representation of 90’s Germany. It’s been a while since I’ve been in the more rustic regions but this very detailed recreation, from the town they visit to the old Opel the married couple drive to the local food.
Really makes me want to go back and visit some of the places where the story takes place, once this pandemic is over.
