Thanks Kay, I will definitely take a look at the manga one day, take care!

So good, the animation isn’t the greatest and the story is way less impactful than the manga (maybe the series wasn’t finished yet, I forgot just the ending is weaker) but still the soundtrack is great and most of the differences out side of the ending are serviceable. It’s been out of print here for years and the other series with Onizuka never even got released here sadly, I’d still highly recommend the manga the art is good and there’s so many fun characters and the series overall has just so much heart. Onizuka is easily one of my favorite characters of all time, he’s a bit of a perv and a bit stupid but he has big and good heart and is willing to literally lay his life on the line for the people he loves and through his own experiences he can be very positive presence that most of us probably could use/wish for.

Great pick. This show's a classic with a good amount of comedy and a surprising amount of life lessons packed in.

This was one of the best surprises I've seen, can't wait to see you watch more of this amazing series.

GTO, Shounan Junai Gumi, Bad Company... That whole Onizuka storyline is awesome

You're in for a ride with this one. So ridiculously over the top yet so real with the topics they go into. The first episode does a really good job establishing what you should expect with this show. An unconventional protagonist, lots of laughs, and deep dives into so many social and personal issues that are still so relevant today. The education system is really flawed with the way it goes about dealing with the kids it's supposed to be supporting its pretty sad. Look forward to the rest of the show. Such amazing cast of students and teachers you'll come to love and understand where their issues stem from. Delinquent and troubled kids need guidance and who better to shake the very foundation of the kids' worldviews than an unpredictable beast like Onizuka.

Oh wow, this is a surprising request. An initially somewhat misleading but amazing show - lots of great social and emotional commentary in this one, a classic.
