2020-10-03 23:22:02 +0000 UTCThe Americans in the TV commercial for the hula hoop is a joke about how many Japanese commercials have hollywood stars slinging whatever product they're selling-- like Arnold Schwarzenegger in commercials for Alinamin V Energy Drink, or Nicholas Cage doing (hilarious and ridiculous) ads for Pachinko. There was this website called japander.com back in the mid to late 2000s that collected these ads. The site is still up but the images and videos don't load anymore.
