Because he is so consumed with wanting revenge that he ends up becoming a bit of a one dimensional character sometimes. But it makes sense, because after Askellad killed Thors, Thorfinn never had the opportunity to grow and become his own person. It makes his character feel that much realer to me.

2020-11-09 10:13:09 +0000 UTCThey called Thorfinn for "Thorfinn Karlsefni" in this episode. Often when there are tales about a person, they are given a name, an epithet of sorts. Thorkell was called Thorkell the Tall. Thorfinn was called Thorfinn Karlsefni after the legends of him being small and young but being able to beat Thorkell. Karlsefni means "The makings of a man".
