He knows that Binolt is a murderer but he doesn't care because he was helpful to him in his training. There is even some hypocrisy in him since he said to Chrollo "how can you kill people that have nothing to do with you" but we see he doesn't say things like that to people who are helpful to him or that he likes, no matter what they have done in the past. I know I'm not the best with my wording but I think you understand what I'm talking about, just trying to say that Gon is much more interesting than he seems on the surface.
